Free convection and radiation effects in nanofluid (Silicon dioxide and Molybdenum disulfide) with second order velocity slip, entropy generation, Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium

M. Ijaz Khan et al.

Summary: This research focuses on the steady, incompressible two-dimensional Darcy-Forchheimer nanofluid flow towards a stretched surface, utilizing communication, mathematical modeling, and numerical simulation. Results show an increase in entropy generation rate with higher Brinkman number, and a decrease in temperature with higher values of the stratification parameter.

Significance of temperature-dependent viscosity and thermal conductivity of Walter's B nanoliquid when sinusodal wall and motile microorganisms density are significant

M. Ijaz Khan et al.

Summary: The progression of nanoparticles in the presence of Lorentz force, chemical reactions, and activation energy has novel applications in various engineering processes, thermal engineering, and medical sciences. By considering temperature-dependent viscosity and variable thermal effects, the study aims to inspect bioconvection aspects in non-Newtonian nanofluids over periodically moving surfaces. Incorporating Brownian motion and thermophoretic diffusion with Buongiorno's mathematical model, the research aims to improve concentration of nano-materials effectively. The results suggest that variable thermal conductivity and temperature-dependent viscosity are more effective for enhancing nanoparticles temperature, and the microorganism in nanofluid increases with constant buoyancy ratio and bioconvection Rayleigh number.

Multi-phase flow of Jeffrey Fluid bounded within magnetized horizontal surface

Mubbashar Nazeer et al.

Summary: This study explores the multi-phase flow of non-Newtonian fluid with heat transfer through a horizontal channel, using Jeffrey fluid as the base liquid with suspended metallic particles of Hafnium. Heating effects, magnetic field, and radiative heat flux are considered in the model, which shows that thermal energy increases friction force and viscous dissipation while enhancing heat transfer due to radiation. The momentum of multi-phase flow increases due to shear thinning effects caused by the Jeffrey fluid parameter.
