Identifying the spatiotemporal dynamic of PM2.5 concentrations at multiple scales using geographically and temporally weighted regression model across China during 2015-2018

Bin Guo et al.

Summary: This study calibrates PM2.5 concentrations across China during 2015-2018 at a 1 km resolution scale using a novel geographically and temporally weighted regression model (GTWR). Results show that the GTWR model performs well in simulating PM2.5 concentrations at a higher spatial resolution and accuracy, providing valuable insights into the spatial dynamics of PM2.5 concentrations.

Determining the effects of socioeconomic and environmental determinants on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) mortality using geographically and temporally weighted regression model across Xi'an during 2014-2016

Bin Guo et al.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between respiratory mortality and related factors in Xi'an from 2014 to 2016 using a novel geographically and temporally weighted regression model. The results show significant effects of socioeconomic and environmental determinants on respiratory diseases, with a clear spatial correlation and a tendency for respiratory diseases to occur in winter and rural areas. The GTWR model outperformed OLS and GWR in determining these relationships, providing valuable insights for respiratory disease control and health facility planning.
