Real-world CO2 and NOX emissions from refrigerated vans

Zhuoqian Yang et al.

Summary: The study used the PHEM model to assess the real-world emissions from refrigerated vans, finding that vans with TRUs have 15% higher CO2 emissions than standard vehicles and significantly increased NOx emissions. The results confirm the importance of considering additional engine load when predicting van emissions, and can support optimization of fuel-saving strategies for refrigerated vans.
