Free vibration analysis of combined composite laminated cylindrical and spherical shells with arbitrary boundary conditions

Fuzhen Pang et al.

Summary: The analytical model for composite laminated shell presented in this paper was established based on a multi-segment partitioning strategy and first-order shear deformation theory. Displacement functions were formulated using Jacobi polynomials and Fourier series, and the Rayleigh-Ritz method was employed to obtain solutions for free vibration behaviors. The proposed method demonstrated good stable and rapid convergence properties, as confirmed by convergence studies and numerical verifications.

Investigation on the vibration and interface state of a thin-walled cylindrical shell with bolted joints considering its bilinear stiffness

Chaofeng Li et al.

Summary: This paper proposed a semi-analytical modeling method for thin-walled cylindrical shells with bolted joints, and analyzed the vibration response and interface contact state. A constitutive model for bolted joints was established, considering different tensile and compressive stiffness as well as friction behavior. The model was applied to a cylindrical shell, and the effects of parameters on dynamic response and interface state were analyzed to draw conclusions.
