Off the beaten path: Novel mRNA-nanoformulations for therapeutic vaccination against HIV

Sigrid D'haese et al.

Summary: The use of mRNA for therapeutic vaccination against HIV has shown promise as a rapid platform for generating desired proteins without the need for ex vivo generated autologous DCs. However, challenges remain due to the short half-life of native mRNA and the requirements for proper formulation. Further research is needed to address these limitations and improve the efficacy of mRNA-nanoparticle formulations for HIV vaccination.
