Enhanced electrochemical properties of Co3O4 with morphological hierarchy for energy storage application: A comparative study with different electrolytes

Mahasweta Chatterjee et al.

Summary: A facile hydrothermal route was used to synthesize Co3O4 nanocrystals with urchin spine-like morphology. The electrochemical properties of the samples were explored in the presence of different electrolytes, showing that NaOH and Na2SO4 (with Hq) electrolytes resulted in high specific capacitances due to additional pseudocapacitive effects. The EIS plots indicated different semicircle diameters for different electrolytes, highlighting the variations in charge transfer resistance and ion-electrode interactions.
