Fabrication of three-dimensionally heterostructured rGO/WO3•0.5H2O@Cu2S electrodes for high-energy solid-state pouch-type asymmetric supercapacitor

Amar M. Patil et al.

Summary: A novel three-dimensionally heterostructured electrode was developed via a simple two-step hydrothermal method, which showed excellent performance in a redox active electrolyte and successfully operated at high potential in an asymmetric pouch-type solid-state supercapacitor. The electrode exhibited superb energy storage ability, cycling stability, and fast charge/discharge capabilities, paving the way for the development of new-generation supercapacitors.

Significant capacitance enhancement induced by cyclic voltammetry in pine needle-likeNi-Co-Cu multicomponent electrode

Liqianyun Xu et al.

Summary: By applying a simple electrochemical treatment using cyclic voltammetry, the overall performance of nickel-cobalt composites as electrode materials for supercapacitors is significantly enhanced, including increased areal capacitance, reduced resistance, and improved Coulombic efficiency and stability. A reasonable hypothesis is proposed for the mechanism behind this treatment, providing a valuable pathway for enhancing material performance in the future.
