Co-pyrolysis of Juliflora biomass with low-density polyethylene for bio-oil synthesis

Murugavelh Somasundaram et al.

Summary: An indigenous reactor was developed for co-pyrolysis of Juliflora and low-density polyethylene. The optimal temperatures for LDPE and JF were found to be 450 and 600 degrees C, respectively. A blend ratio of 1:2 of JF and LDPE resulted in the highest liquid content in the bio-oil produced.

Co-pyrolysis and synergistic effect analysis of biomass sawdust and polystyrene mixtures for production of high-quality bio-oils

H. Stancin et al.

Summary: The use of traditional biomass raises sustainability concerns, but co-pyrolysis of biomass with waste materials, especially plastics, offers a promising alternative for enhanced biofuel production. This method can significantly improve the properties of biomass products, particularly bio-oils.
