Comparison of two anti-diabetic monoestolides regarding effects on intact murine liver tissue

David Rychtrmoc et al.

Summary: This study compared the effects of two FAHFA isomers, 9-PAHSA and 9-OAHSA, on the liver of mice. The results showed that 9-PAHSA was more metabolically beneficial and less hepatotoxic compared to 9-OAHSA.

Long-term intake of 9-PAHPA or 9-OAHPA modulates favorably the basal metabolism and exerts an insulin sensitizing effect in obesogenic diet-fed mice

Summary: This study suggests that both 9-PAHPA and 9-OAHPA may have beneficial insulin-sensitizing effects in obese mice with lower insulin sensitivity, although no significant effects on liver metabolism were observed.
