Initial growth dynamics of 10 nm nanobubbles in the graphene liquid cell

QHwan Kim et al.

Summary: The unexpected long lifetime of nanobubbles against large Laplace pressure is a key issue in research, with most studies focusing on relatively large nanobubbles over 100 nm. Observations of sub-100 nm sized nanobubbles are limited due to imaging method constraints, but this study successfully observed the growth dynamics of 10 nm nanobubbles using transmission electron microscopy in graphene liquid cells, showing that nanobubble growth is determined by gas oversaturation influenced by the size of the confined system.
