Quantum backflow in a ring

Summary: Quantum backflow is the effect of negative probability current accompanying the free motion of a quantum particle with a wave function entirely comprised of plane waves with non-negative momenta, which has not been observed experimentally yet. However, it can become significantly more pronounced and observable by forcing the particle to move in a circular ring instead of along a straight line.
