Partial Inhibition of Mitochondrial Complex I Reduces Tau Pathology and Improves Energy Homeostasis and Synaptic Function in 3xTg-AD Mice

Andrea Stojakovic et al.

Summary: Treatment with CP2 can improve cognitive function, synaptic protein levels, glucose metabolism, and energy homeostasis in 3xTg-AD mice, especially restoring synaptic activity in female mice. This suggests that targeting mitochondria with specific MCI inhibitors could be a promising strategy for treating Alzheimer's disease.
