Characterization of New Cellulosic Cyrtostachys renda and Ptychosperma macarthurii Fibers from Landscaping Plants

Summary: The properties and potential applications of fibers from Cyrtostachys renda and Ptychosperma macarthurii were studied. The leaf stalk fiber of Cyrtostachys renda showed higher crystallinity and mechanical properties, as well as antimicrobial properties, making it a potential reinforcement in lightweight polymer composites.
