To overcome two critical deficiencies i.e. poor self-lubricating and short life of engine bearing, a CuSn10 layer along with newly designed h-BN/graphite coating is deposited on the surface of an engine bearing. The tribological and mechanical properties of the engine bearing are studied. Firstly, the porosities of the CuSn10 layer and h-BN/graphite coating are low due to the powder-filled action and the sealing action of the modified polymer respectively. Secondly, the CoFs of the engine bearing under the coating of h-BN/graphite will fall by 225.00% at room temperature and 857.14% at 200 degrees C due to the transfer film generated. Lastly, the life of this bearing has increased by 639.03% due to the newly designed layer and coating.
