Thirteen flavonoids, including two new compounds, were isolated from the twigs and leaves of Knema elegans. Compounds 1-3, 12, and 13 showed moderate inhibitory effects against α-glycosidase, with IC50 values ranging from 11.80 to 15.77 μM. Additionally, compounds 1, 2, 4, 7, 11, and 13 exhibited radical scavenging capacities in the DPPH and APTS models.
The twigs and leaves of Knema elegans were analyzed to detect bioactive secondary metabolites. Thirteen flavonoids, including two new compounds (1 and 2), were isolated and characterized. Compounds 1-3, 12, and 13 showed moderate inhibitory effects against a-glycosidase, with IC50 values ranging from 11.80 to 15.77 ?M. Moreover, compounds 1, 2, 4, 7, 11, and 13 exhibited radical scavenging capacities in the DPPH and APTS models.
