Quantification of Aerosol Concentrations During Endonasal Instrumentation in the Clinic Setting

Alexander T. Murr et al.

Summary: Recent study examined aerosol generation during nasal endoscopy and found no significant increase in aerosol particles during diagnostic procedures in patients without need for debridement. However, in patients needing debridement, cold and suction instrumentation were associated with increased aerosol generation, with a trend observed during endoscope use prior to tissue manipulation.
