Borates as promising electrode materials for rechargeable batteries

Si-Han Yang et al.

Summary: The research focuses on exploring novel electrode materials or modifications for lithium ion batteries, with particular attention to borate-type electrodes. These borates have shown potential not only for LIBs but also for other types of rechargeable batteries like SIBs, MIBs, and Zn-air batteries. The study classifies and introduces various borate materials based on their chemical compositions, discussing their synthesis, crystal structures, electrochemical performance, advantages, disadvantages, and potential applications. Future prospects for borate-based electrode materials in rechargeable batteries are also proposed.

Synthesis, characterization and spectroscopic properties of some rare earth activated LiAlO2 phosphor

M. A. Wani et al.

Summary: The current paper synthesized LiAlO2 phosphor doped with rare-earth elements Tb3+, Eu3+, and Dy3+ using microwave-assisted solution combustion synthesis method and studied their spectroscopic properties through XRD, FT-IR, TG-DTA, and SEM. The photoluminescence excitation and emission spectrum of the doped phosphors were investigated under different sintering temperatures and dopant concentrations. The results showed unique emission peaks for each dopant under specific excitation conditions.

Effect of temperature nano graphite doped polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) composite flexible thin films prepared by solution casting: Synthesis, optical and electrical properties

Gyanesh Soni et al.

Summary: The study showed that high concentration of graphite nanoparticles can increase the optical properties of flexible nanocomposite films, but the effects are reduced at high temperatures. Additionally, the energy bandgap and transmittance decrease with increasing GNPs, with a greater decrease observed at higher temperatures.

Effect of Tb3+ ion concentration on photoluminescence and thermoluminescence studies of Y4Al2O9 phosphor

Vikas Dubey et al.

Summary: In this study, Tb3+ doped Y4Al2O9 phosphors were synthesized and characterized using XRD, PL, and TL analysis. The results showed that the PL intensity increases with increasing Tb3+ concentration up to a certain point, after which it decreases due to concentration quenching. The CIE values indicate intense green emission, and TL glow curve analysis was conducted to study the effect of doping ion concentration and UV exposure time.

Study of Photoluminescence,Thermoluminescence, and Afterglow properties of Dy3+ doped Ba2ZnSi2O7 phosphor

Yugbodh Patle et al.

Summary: In this study, Ba2ZnSi2O7 (BZS) phosphor doped with Dysprosium (Dy3+) was successfully synthesized using a solid-state reaction method. The prepared phosphor exhibited efficient blue and yellow emissions under UV excitation, with the optimum concentration for Dy3+ ion at 2 mol%. The emission color was confirmed to have been tuned with the incorporation of Dy3+ ion in the BZS samples, as shown by the CIE diagram.
