The study explored the structure of obtaining the resulting polarization in the resonance of surface plasmon in the Kretschmann configuration, with a silver film as coating and a dielectric layer deposited on the silver film, using water as substrate and a light source of λ = 633 nm. The resulting polarization change is indicated by amplitudes-Psi and phases-Delta of the resulting wave associated with the ellipsometry function, which show remarkable points for each incident angle representing features such as suppressors, aligners and retarders.
Optical sensors based on surface plasmon resonance are widely used in several applications. The structure to obtain the resulting polarization in the resonance of the surface plasmon in the Kretschmann configuration was investigated, a silver film acts as coating, in addition there is a dielectric layer which is deposited on the silver film, water is also used as substrate, using a source of lambda = 633 nm. The resulting polarization change is shown according to the amplitudes-Psi; and the phases-Delta of the resulting wave associated with the ellipsometry function, on these functions there are remarkable points for each incident angle, which represent features such as suppressors, aligners and retarders.
