The computer simulations highlighted that ions with similar ratios of mass number A and ion charge Ze exhibit comparable trajectories and angular distributions when channeling through half-wavelength crystals. Additionally, the efficiency of ion deflection by a single tungsten half-wavelength crystal was studied for Xe-129, Pb-208, and U-238 ions at 300 MeV/u and 30 GeV/u. Moreover, it was shown that placing and rotating two half-wavelength crystals sequentially by the critical channeling angle could double the deflection angle.
The computer simulations of relativistic heavy ions channeling through the half-wavelength crystal showed the similarity of trajectories and angular distributions for ions with close ratios of the mass number A and the ion charge Ze. We studied the deflection efficiency of 300 MeV/u and 30 GeV/u Xe-129, Pb-208, U-238 ions by a single tungsten half-wavelength crystal. In addition, we showed that the assembly of two sequentially placed and rotated by the critical channeling angle half-wavelength crystals increases twice the deflection angle.
