Researchers are searching for superconductors with high critical temperature values, with one direction focusing on the high temperature superconducting state in metallic nanoclusters. The macroscopic high Tc superconducting current can be achieved through Josephson tunneling between these clusters.
The search for superconductors with high values of the critical temperature has started shortly after the first observation of the phenomenon in 1911. At present, there are several paths towards reaching this goal. Here we focus on the direction based on observing high temperature superconducting state in some metallic nanoclusters. The macroscopic high Tc superconducting current can be provided by the Josephson tunneling between such clusters.
