Summary: Metal-organic frameworks with nanoporosity, crystal structure, good stability, and high surface-to-volume ratio have been used as efficient sorbents for adsorption and separation purposes. In this study, a metal-organic framework/polyaniline magnetite nanocomposite was successfully synthesized for solid-phase microextraction fiber, which was then coupled with gas chromatography-flame ionization detection for the extraction and determination of aldehydes in biological samples.

Solid-phase extraction and microextraction of chlorophenols and triazine herbicides with a novel hydrazone-based covalent triazine polymer as the adsorbent

Summary: The study focused on the preparation and characterization of a novel hydrazone-based covalent triazine polymer (Hz-CTP), which showed promising performance in the extraction of herbicides and chlorophenols. Various characterizations demonstrated that the Hz-CTP possessed large surface areas, high porosity, and stability against high temperatures. The satisfactory results obtained from the extraction of model analytes suggest the potential application of CTPs in extraction processes.
