Muconic acid has been demonstrated as a high-performance organic anode material for lithium ion battery, showing a real reversible specific capacity of 768.7 mAh g(-1) at a current density of 100 mA g(-1) with a capacity retention of 78% at 2 A g(-1). This research may have significant implications in the field of batteries.
We demonstrate for the first time that muconic acid could be a high-performance organic anode material for lithium ion battery, with a real reversible specific capacity of 768.7 mAh g(-1) at a current density of 100 mA g(-1). The capacity retention is 78% when the current density is increased to 2 A g(-1). (C) 2021 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
