Understanding the corrosion inhibition effectiveness using Senecio anteuphorbium L. fraction for steel in acidic media

Summary: The corrosion inhibition of steel S300 in hydrochloric acid by different families of Senecio anteuphorbium L. was investigated, with the main component being essential oil containing sesquiterpenes with good inhibition efficiency. The inhibition efficiency of the tested groups ranges from 75% to 90%, indicating a synergistic effect.
