Catalytic activity of cobalt-boron-fluoride particles with different solvent mediums on sodium borohydride hydrolysis for hydrogen generation

Mehmet Sait Izgi et al.

Summary: Catalysts prepared in different solvent mediums exhibit varying activities due to differences in acidity, basicity, and viscosity. Evaluation of the synthesis mechanism of cobalt-boron-fluoride in water, propanol, and ethanol solvents was conducted, with characterization studies performed using various techniques. The effects of sodium borohydride (SB) and temperature on SB hydrolysis reaction were investigated, with the maximum hydrogen generation rates and activation energy of the catalysts determined.
