Chemico-physical and mechanical evaluation of three calcium silicate-based pulp capping materials

Inas M. Al-Sherbiny et al.

Summary: This study compared the biointeractivity, porosity, water sorption, solubility, mechanical properties, apatite forming ability, and application effectiveness of three calcium silicate-based capping materials. The results showed that while BD exhibited excellent calcium ion release and strength, the high porosity and water absorption of BS material made it unsuitable for pulp capping applications.
