The study found that all five novel brominated flame retardants had high detection frequencies in the serum samples collected, with decabromodiphenyl ethane (DBDPE) being the most abundant among them.
Five currently used novel brominated flame retardants (NBFRs) were determined in 172 serum samples collected from nonoccupational residents of a major BFR-producing region.
