Promoting eco-agritourism using an augmented reality-based educational resource: a case study of aquaponics

Summary: Agritourism is a form of eco-tourism that combines agriculture and tourism. This study developed an augmented reality-based educational resource to promote eco-agritourism and encourage tourists to be environmentally responsible. The results showed that the resource had a significant impact on learning gains, knowledge retention, and users' motivation to learn about aquaponics in an agritourism farm. These findings suggest that augmented reality-based resources are suitable for promoting eco-agritourism and fostering a positive connection with nature.
