A nucleon-nucleus dynamics model has been developed to investigate proton-, neutron-, and deuteron-induced reactions at hundreds of MeV/nucleon. The model calculates the trajectory of the incident nucleon using classical mechanics and the probability of reaction between the nucleon and nucleus using exponential damping. The total reaction cross sections calculated by the model agree generally with predictions by the CDCC and experimental data. The model has been applied to study nucleon stripping in deuteron-induced reactions and its dependence on symmetry energy.
A nucleon-nucleus dynamics model was developed to investigate the proton-, neutron-, and deuteron-induced reactions at hundreds of MeV/nucleon.
