Interprofessional education: a unique approach to addressing the challenges of student assessment

Kay Skinner et al.

Summary: There is a growing focus on the value of interprofessional education for health professional students, but there is still limited attention on assessing students' interprofessional experiences in clinical placements. Effective IP assessment models are needed to demonstrate student learning and facilitate successful sharing of assessment among professionals. Development and implementation of IP assessment can help define placement and assessment priorities and provide learning opportunities for both supervisors and students.
