Push-pull based operational transconductor amplifier topologies for ultra low voltage supplies

Luis Henrique Rodovalho

Summary: This work presents an improved operation transconductance amplifier with enhanced common mode rejection, utilizing push-pull based OTAs by Nauta and Vieru in combination with adaptive body bias calibration. The comparison between rectangular and trapezoidal transistor arrays shows that trapezoidal arrays offer higher DC voltage gain and rectangular arrays are more tolerant to process variability. Additionally, two new adaptive body bias circuits for CMOS circuits were proposed to minimize PVT variability in inverter cells and control common mode output voltage and transconductance in push-pull based OTAs.
