In recent decades, Daphniphyllum alkaloids have gained attention for their unique synthetic pathways, complex structures, and diverse carbon skeletons. Since 2008, 144 new Daphniphyllum alkaloids have been isolated from the Daphniphyllaceae family, containing novel skeletons. This review discusses the structure, classes, plant sources, and bioactivities of these plant-derived alkaloids reported between 2008 and 2020.
In the past few decades,Daphniphyllumalkaloids have attracted wide attention due to their unique synthetic pathways, complex structures, and diversified carbon skeletons. Since 2008, 144 newDaphniphyllumalkaloids from theDaphniphyllaceaefamily have been isolated. These compounds were found to contain a large number of novel skeletons. In this review, we discuss the structure, classes, plant sources, and bioactivities of the plant-derivedDaphniphyllumalkaloids reported between 2008 and 2020 and provide the basis for further studies.
