This review describes serendipitous reactions of silicone grease that were published after 2003 when the previous review had appeared. The products unexpectedly obtained generally contain Me2SiO units that arise by degradation of silicone grease, some of which have cage-like structures and are difficult to prepare by well-planned synthetic approach.
