The generalizability of empirically derived syndromes of collateral-reported elder psychopathology across 11 societies

Summary: The study tested the generalizability of an elder psychopathology syndrome model derived from collateral ratings in the United States across 11 other societies. Results showed a good fit for the model in all societies, indicating that the Older Adult Behavior Checklist (OABCL) can be used for broad assessment of psychopathology in elders from diverse backgrounds.
