This brief is devoted to examine the exponential stability for highly nonlinear hybrid neutral stochastic systems with time varying delays by the novel approach of multiple degenerate functionals. The asymptotic stability criteria relying on delays sizes for nonlinear hybrid neutral stochastic systems with constant delays had already been explored. But, the existing literature required some rigorous conditions and did not take the convergent speed of stability and time varying delays into account. This brief is to relax the rigorous conditions, consider the factor of time varying delays, and investigate the exponentially convergent speed, which significantly develops the existing theory.
