The interaction of a mixture of Al and BN nanopowder with a hydrogen microwave plasma was studied. Using X-ray phase analysis, as well as scanning and transmission electron microscopy, the formation of AlN and AlB(2)nanocrystals as a result of short-term (similar to 30 ms) interaction of Al vapor withh-BN was established. The research results also indicate the formation of hydrogenated hexagonal boron nitrideh-BN-H. The critical shear stresses were calculated for the interfaces between BN with Al, AlB2, and AlN. Ways to increase the strength of composite materials based on hexagonal boron nitride and aluminum are discussed.
