Biosensors are analytical devices designed to convert biological response into signals, with Fluorescein based probes playing a significant role in optical biosensors. This review focuses on the current advances and challenges in fluorescence probes to enhance sensing properties for next generation biological applications.
Biosensors are analytical devices specifically designed to convert biological response into electrochemical, optical, acoustic and electronic signal. Generally, the principle and concept of biosensors facilitate the fabrication of advanced devices displaying potential biological applications. In particular, the Fluorescein based probes display a significant role in the development of optical biosensors. This review focus on the current advances in the fluorescence probes, including the development and challenges to enhance the sensing properties in the field of biosensors for next generation biological applications.
