In this investigation, nano basalt reinforced neat epoxy nanocomposites have been fabricated. Neat epoxy along with five various compositions of the nano basalt fillers from 1 to 5 wt.% in steps of 1 wt.% were used in this investigation. Density, tensile strength, microhardness, and thermal stability examination were performed as per ASTM standards. The morphology studies reveal that the basalt nanofillers were dispersed homogeneously in the neat epoxy polymer thermosetting matrix resulting in improved mechanical and thermal properties. The excessive addition of nanofiller results in the formation of agglomerated bundles which in turn reduce the thermomechanical properties
