A kidney transplant patient developed encephalitis 3 weeks after transplantation, possibly due to transfusion-transmitted Powassan virus infection from an asymptomatic blood donor.
A kidney transplant patient without known tick exposure developed encephalitis 3 weeks after transplantation.
