The short review discusses a family of amorphous porous organic polymers, conjugated microporous polymer (CMP), which is distinctive in fusion of a large pi-electronic conjugation within the topological network platform. The kind of polymers has shown the synthetic variety, the advanced capability and the wide applicability in contrast to the reported analogues. Herein, the significant progress of CMP applications has been summarized to showcase their capability in constructing photo-functional systems.
