The relationship between histologic chorioamnionitis and decidual macrophage polarization and their influence on outcomes of neonates born before the 32nd gestational week

Mladen Jasic et al.

Summary: The study identified associations between HCA, neonatal nCPAP respiratory support, NEC, and ROP stages. The presence of M2 macrophages increased the risk for neonatal nCPAP respiratory support, while the presence of M1 macrophages increased the risk for NEC. HCA was identified as a risk factor for ROP stages.
