The hydrogen-bonded hexamolybdoplatinate tetramer [H-23(FtMo(6)O(24))(4)](9-) was reacted with methanol to yield a new methylated hexamolybdoplaiinate. X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that the methylated hexamolybdoplatinate forms a trimer through hydrogen-bonding.
