In this paper, we are going to report results of a study which has been performed to investigate inhibition of cytochrome P450 (CYP) by ciprofloxacin (CIF) in which electrochemistry has been combined with chemometrics to have a deep insight to the mentioned inhibition. To achieve the mentioned goals, electrochemical data obtained from several different electrochemical techniques were analyzed directly and then, were coupled with chemometric methods to extract more information. Fortunately, the results obtained from chemometric processing of the data not only gave us new information but also confirmed the previous results. Our study was continued by molecular docking of CIF and CYP which helped us to obtain new information about binding of CIF with CYP. All the results were compatible and completed each other which helped us to clarify binding of CIF with CYP from qualitative and quantitative point of views. Finally, according to the results obtained from inhibition of the CYP by CIF, we have developed an amperometric method for determination of the CYP.
