[{beta-SiNi2W10O36(OH)(2)(H2O)}(4)](24-) (1) was reported as efficient, robust visible light-driven water oxidation catalyst for the first time. Of the reported polyoxometalates containing nickel, 1 shows the best photocatalytic O-2 evolution activity with a TON of 335 and TOF of 1.7 s(-1).
