A zirconium-based metal-organic polyhedron is decorated by Pt nanoparticles with different spatial locations for visible-light-driven H-2 production, which makes photocatalytic efficiencies improved on different levels. This work delves into the affinity of electron-transfer path with photocatalytic reactivity and further broadens horizons for porous materials in photocatalysis.
