An efficient catalytic system is developed for propylene carbonate synthesis from carbon dioxide and propylene oxide on fixed bed reactor. The active component screening results make sure that the efficient catalyst is composed of methyl imidazole onium salt, zinc bromide and phenol formaldehyde resin. The prepared catalyst proves 72 h long running with 96 % yield and 98 % selectivity of propylene carbonate. The novel extruded catalyst for PC synthesis used in fixed bed is developed. PR, MimCl and ZnBr2 have the catalytic synergy for the reaction. The catalyst composition is optimized. [GRAPHICS] .
