This case report describes the feasibility and efficacy of rehabilitation training using a shoulder assistive robot for shoulder elevation training in a patient with unilateral upper limb palsy following traumatic spinal cord injury.
Makihara et al. reported on the safety and efficacy of training with the elbow type of wearable assistive robot applied to the shoulder in healthy volunteers [22]. However, there is no case report on the application of this device to the shoulder joint in a patient with unilateral upper limb palsy. Therefore, in this case report, we describe the feasibility and efficacy of rehabilitation training by shoulder elevation training using the shoulder type of wearable assistive robot (shoulder assistive robot) in a patient with unilateral upper limb palsy following traumatic SCI.
