The over-damped oscillator model with complex viscosity is applied to describe the behavior of a charged particle in an ionic fluid oscillating near the surface of the electrodes. We present new analyses of the aqueous solution of KCl, at various concentrations, indicating that only the parameters related to the coefficient of damping change by varying the temperature. We also report on the behavior of the viscosity at different concentrations of potassium chloride. In the presence of these new data, it is possible to reformulate the electrochemical impedance model by incorporating temperature dependence to the fitting parameters. The effective viscosity predicted by the model is compared with other predictions in the literature, such as the one proposed by Reynolds. (C) 2019 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
