Growth of PbBr2 microrods with unique structure and surface morphology

Ask authors/readers for more resources

We describe an innovative method to fabricate the one-dimensional (1D) microrods of lead bromide (PbBr2). The microrods possess unique structural and morphological properties. XRD, FESEM and HRTEM analysis exhibited a well-ordered growth and a crack-free arrangement of the microcrystals in rod shapes. XPS, Raman and FTIR studies were performed to investigate the composition and chemical structure of the rods. TGA and DSC investigations were made to investigate the thermal stability of microrods. The growth of these unique 1D microrods represents an innovative concept in material design and synthesis, which can foster a revolutionary research in the field of perovskite crystals.
