In this research, Tragopogon collinus extract was used for synthesis of silver nanoparticles and their biological properties were studied. Based on this, the extract of the plant was prepared and the synthesis of silver nanoparticles under different conditions were investigated. The best conditions for the synthesis of nanoparticles were 0.0025 M of silver nitrate, temperature of 40 degrees C, pH 10 and 20 cc of the extract, which the formation of the nano particles were confirmed by UV-Vis, TEM, XRD, FT-IR analysis. Average size of the particles were obtained 7 nm and the formation of the nano silver crystals was proved. The synthesized silver nanoparticles showed inhibition zone for both Gram-positive and -negative bacteria andStaphylococcus aureushas better result compared toEscherichia coli. Graphic
