The kinetics of the formation of nitrates, nitrite ions, and hydrogen peroxide, the products of the action of a glow discharge in air on distilled water taken as the anode of a plasma-solution system, has been first studied. A comparative analysis of the obtained experimental results with the behavior of the concentrations of products of plasma interaction with liquid cathode has been carried out. It has been shown that alternation of the polarity of the liquid electrode significantly affects the product composition and formation kinetics in the liquid phase. Qualitative explanations of the observed differences have been proposed.
